Men’s Alligator & Caiman Cowboy Boots: Why These Boots Shine Bright And Steal The Show!

Hey there, boot lovers. If you’ve ever caught yourself staring at a pair of alligator cowboy boots or caiman cowboy boots in a shop window, wondering what all the fuss is about, you’re not alone. These bad boys aren’t your run-of-the-mill cowhide kicks—they’re the kind of footwear that turns heads, sparks conversations, and makes you feel like you’ve stepped straight out of a Western flick with a touch of wild luxury. Today, we’re diving deep into the world of alligator skin cowboy boots and men’s caiman cowboy boots, chatting about what sets them apart, why folks can’t get enough, and how they stack up against your everyday boots. Whether you’re a seasoned cowboy boot collector or just dipping your toes (pun intended) into exotics, stick around. This casual roundup will have you itching to lace up a pair.

Alligator and caiman, let’s kick things off with a quick backstory on these reptilian wonders

They’re both part of the crocodilian family, but think of them as cousins with very different vibes—one’s the polished city slicker, the other’s the rugged trailblazer. Alligators, mostly the American variety, hail from the swamps of the southeastern U.S., like Louisiana and Florida. These guys grow big—up to 10 feet or more on farms—and their hides are like nature’s canvas: large, symmetrical scales that lay flat and smooth, almost like polished tiles on a fancy bathroom floor. No bony deposits messing things up, which means the leather dyes evenly, stays supple, and molds to your foot like it was made for you.

“They’re both part of the crocodilian family, but think of them as cousins with very different vibes—one’s the polished city slicker, the other’s the rugged trailblazer.”

Caiman, on the flip side, are smaller critters from Central and South America, often farmed in droves because they’re easier to raise. Their scales? Smaller, more rectangular, and dotted with those telltale pockmarks or bony nubs that give the leather a textured, almost three-dimensional pop—kinda like the difference between a sleek sports car and a beat-up Jeep with character. It’s not just looks, either; caiman’s got a drier feel, while alligator’s all about that buttery softness that screams high-end which will probably cost you a bit more!

But why bother with alligator cowboy boots or caiman cowboy boots at all?

Simple: they deliver that perfect storm of toughness, style, and swagger that plain old boots just can’t touch. People slip into these for the durability first off—these leathers are built to last through dusty trails, bar dances, or city stomps without cracking under pressure.Alligator’s flexibility means it breaks in gently, hugging your arches like a custom fit, while caiman’s rigidity adds a structured edge that’s great for all-day wear without slouching.

And let’s talk aesthetics—the scale patterns? They’re hypnotic. That natural armor look elevates any outfit from “meh” to “whoa,” whether you’re pairing them with jeans for a casual Friday or slinging them under a suit for a bold twist. Folks love ’em because they feel exclusive; owning a pair says you’ve got taste, a story, and maybe a bit of that rebel spirit. Plus, in a world of mass-produced sneakers, these exotics stand out as heirloom pieces—pass ’em down, and they’ll just get better with age, developing that patina like a well-loved whiskey barrel.

Now, why do buyers keep choosing alligator leather and caiman boots over, say, your standard cowhide or even ostrich?

It’s all about the upgrade in every department. Cowhide’s reliable and comfy, sure, but it’s everywhere—like the reliable pickup truck that gets you from A to B. Alligator and caiman? They’re the Ferraris of the boot world: rarer, more luxurious, and way more eye-catching. Alligator edges out with its superior suppleness and even coloring, making it less prone to the cracking that can plague drier leathers if you’re not babying them.

They are definitely high-end boots that you might see being worn by the likes of
Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tom Cruise, Kevin Costner, Shakira, Bob Dylan and others!

Caiman’s a smart pick for the budget-savvy adventurer who wants that exotic punch without the full splurge—its smaller scales create a busier, bolder pattern that’s perfect for standing out in a crowd, and it’s tough enough for ranch work or weekend ropin’. Compared to ostrich, which quills up nicely but can feel a tad fragile, these reptilian hides offer a sleeker, more armored vibe that’s versatile for formal gigs or muddy messes. And the prestige? Wearing exotic leather screams confidence—it’s not just boots; it’s a statement that you’ve invested in quality that’ll outlast trends and turn envious glances into outright compliments.

Speaking of reactions, oh man, these boots don’t just walk into a room—they announce themselves.

Picture this: you’re at a backyard BBQ, jeans cuffed just right, and your alligator cowboy boots catch the light with that glossy, uniform shine. Suddenly, the guy’s next to you at the grill leans over: “Whoa, are those real gator? Man, those are sharp—where’d you score ’em?” It’s instant icebreaker material. Or slip on a pair of caiman cowboy boots with their punchy, pockmarked scales peeking out under the bar lights on a Friday night. You get the wide-eyed stares, the “Dude, those look dangerous—in the best way” vibes. Women (or whoever’s catching your eye) light up, guys nod in respect, and even the skeptics end up asking to touch ’em. It’s like wearing a conversation starter on your feet—part envy, part awe, all fun. In my chats with boot folks online and off, the consensus is clear: these aren’t just shoes; they’re social magnets that make you feel 10 feet tall.

Here’s a great video detailing the differences between alligator leather and caiman skin!

Alright, enough yapping—let’s get into some real-world examples from Pinto Ranch, that gem of a spot for high-quality Western gear.

Their collection of men’s cowboy boots in alligator and caiman is straight fire, blending classic cowboy silhouettes with that exotic edge. Starting with the alligator side, you’ve got options that ooze refinement. Take the Lucchese Men’s Stonewash Tan Giant Alligator Square Toe Cowboy Boots— these beauties rock a 13-inch shaft in a faded tan wash that gives off vintage cool without trying too hard. The square toe keeps it grounded in tradition, while the stacked leather heel adds that subtle lift for easy movement. What steals the show? The full-quill alligator belly wrapping the vamp and shaft, with those large, symmetrical scales catching every ray of light like they’re alive. It’s got a medium round toe variation too, for folks who prefer a softer profile, and the overall build screams heirloom: genuine gator over goat leather quarters for breathability, a steel shank for support, and that signature Lucchese comfort insole that feels like walking on clouds after a break-in.

Then there’s the Lucchese Men’s Barrel Brown Crocodile Caiman Hornback Square Toe Cowboy Boots

Wait, hold up, this one’s a hybrid vibe, but leaning heavy on caiman with a hornback twist for texture. Nah, circling back pure to alligator, check out the Lucchese Men’s Sienna Hornback Alligator Tail Snip Toe Boots. Snip toe for that pointed, flirtatious flair, sienna tones that deepen with wear, and hornback accents from the tail adding raised, rugged ridges that contrast the smooth belly scales. These are for the guy who wants alligator cowboy boots with a bit of bite—perfect for line dancing or just strutting through town. The 10-row stitch pattern on the shaft isn’t just pretty; it reinforces durability, and the all-leather lining wicks away sweat on hot days.

Shifting to the caiman cowboy boots

Pinto Ranch has some men’s caiman cowboy boots that punch way above their weight in style. The Lucchese Men’s Barrel Brown Caiman Crocodile Hornback Medium Round Toe Cowboy Boots are a standout—barrel brown hue that’s rich and earthy, medium round toe for everyday ease, and that hornback caiman bringing bumpy, three-D scales that make the boot look like it’s got its own personality. The 13-inch shaft is vamped in genuine caiman tail for extra pop, with goat leather uppers keeping things light and flexible. It’s got that classic cowboy pull-tab for easy on-off, and the underlay feels sturdy without being stiff.

Don’t sleep on the Lucchese Men’s Sienna Hornback Caiman Crocodile Tail Snip Toe Boots either

Sienna coloring that shifts from warm amber to deep rust under light, snip toe sharpening the front, and caiman tail wrapping key spots for a textured mosaic effect. These men’s caiman cowboy boots scream adventure—imagine them kicking up dust on a ranch or elevating a concert outfit. The hornback details add grip visually and tactilely, and the overall construction, with its counters and steel shank, ensures they hold up to real life. Another gem: Lucchese Men’s Barrel Brown Hornback Caiman Tail Snip Toe Boots, mirroring that barrel brown magic but with tail-focused caiman for a sleeker, less bulky feel. Snip toe keeps it sleek, and the patterns vary boot to boot, so yours feels one-of-a-kind.

Wrapping up the Pinto Ranch spotlight

These alligator skin cowboy boots and men’s caiman cowboy boots aren’t just products; they’re portals to that authentic Western soul with a modern twist. Brands like Lucchese nail the balance—handcrafted details, ethical sourcing (mostly farmed hides, folks), and fits that run true for most dudes. If you’re sizing up, go half down from your sneaker size, and always condition ’em regular to keep that shine.

So, what’s the verdict in this reptilian boots showdown?

If you’re chasing ultimate luxury and that seamless, soft-as-butter feel, alligator’s your jam—worth every bit of the hype for long-haul wear and those “oohs” at the party.

Craving bold texture and a gateway to exotics without breaking stride? Caiman delivers big on personality and practicality, with scales that tell a story all their own.

Either way, ditching the ordinary for these means stepping into a world where your feet lead the charge—durable, dazzling, and downright addictive. Grab a pair from Pinto Ranch, hit the town, and watch the reactions roll in. Trust me, once you go exotic, there’s no turning back. What’s your pick—alligator swagger or caiman grit? Drop a comment; I’d love to hear.

How to Make Cowboy Boots More Comfortable: Your Guide

Hey there, boot lovers. Ever slipped into a fresh pair of cowboy boots and felt that pinch? You’re not alone. Cowboy boots blend style and grit like nothing else. But comfort? That’s where many folks hit a snag.

In this post, we’ll dive deep into how to make cowboy boots more comfortable. We’ll cover the basics, like how comfortable are cowboy boots right out of the box. Plus, tips on what are the most comfortable cowboy boots for women and men. We’ll chat about how to buy comfortable cowboy boots and who makes comfortable cowboy boots.

As a lifelong “boot lover” who’s worn out more pairs than I can count—think dusty ranch days and two-step nights—I’ve learned a thing or two. I’ve tested break-in tricks on everything from work-worn pairs to dress-up styles. Stick with me. You’ll walk away with feet that thank you.

How Comfortable Are Cowboy Boots? The Real Scoop

First off: how comfortable are cowboy boots? It depends. Fresh from the store, they might feel stiff. That’s the leather doing its job. High-quality hides need time to mold to your feet.

But here’s the good news. Once broken in, cowboy boots can be your most comfy footwear. Why? Their design shines. The angled heel lifts your arch. This cuts pressure on your toes and balls of your feet. The tall shaft supports your ankles. No slips or twists on uneven ground.

From my experience, a well-fitted pair beats sneakers for all-day wear. I once hiked a full trail in mine. Zero blisters. Experts agree. The key is fit and material. Full-grain leather breathes. It flexes with you. Synthetic stuff? It traps sweat and pinches.

Compare that to top sites like Twisted X’s blog. They rave about cowboy boots for work. “Comfort and durability make them top choice,” they say. Reddit threads echo this. Users swear by quality pairs for standing all day. No more barking dogs after shifts.

One gap I see? Many overlook foot shape. Wide feet? Go square toe. Narrow? Pointed works. Test both. Comfort starts here.

What Are the Most Comfortable Cowboy Boots for Men?

Gents, what are the most comfortable cowboy boots for men? It’s about tough meets tender. You need grip for ground work. Cushion for long hauls. Prioritize wide toe boxes. Men’s feet swell on hot days. Square toes give room. Rubber outsoles? They grip dirt without sliding. Leather soles are classic. But for trails, rubber rules. I’ve logged miles in mine. A good pair feels like slippers after break-in. The heel counter locks you in. No rubbing. Arch support? Non-negotiable. It fights fatigue.

Rios of Mercedes stands out. Their handmade pairs use premium hides. Supple from day one. I tested them at work and play. Zero hot spots. Tony Lama’s performance line adds flex zones. Bends with your stride. Business Insider agrees. They praise brands with cork midsoles. Fills in over time. Custom fit. Reddit folks love these for daily drivers. One guy called his “sneakers in disguise.”

Unique twist: If you have flat feet, add metatarsal pads. Game-changer. I did. Transformed my all-nighters.

What Are the Most Comfortable Cowboy Boots for Women?

Ladies, let’s talk what are the most comfortable cowboy boots for women. You want style that struts—from barn to bar—without the ache. Look for cushioned insoles first. They absorb shock. A 1.5-inch heel keeps things walkable. Not too tall for daily grind. Leather linings wick moisture. Say goodbye to swamp feet. In my trials, boots with gel inserts win. They cradle your arch like a cloud. For walking, roper styles shine. Shorter shafts hug calves snug. Easier on than tall ones.

Top picks? Tecovas nails it. Their women’s line uses soft calfskin. It molds fast. I wore a pair to a festival. Danced till dawn. Feet? Happy. Durango’s X-Treme footbed is another gem. Ventilated and removable. Swap for orthotics if needed.
Sites like Overlook Boots list similar. They highlight Ariat for women too. But I stick to brands like Tecovas for that buttery feel. Avoid stiff exotics at first. Build up to them.

Pro tip: Pair with wool socks. They cushion heels. And always check calf fit. Too tight? Blisters await.

How to Buy Comfortable Cowboy Boots: Smart Steps

Now, how to buy comfortable cowboy boots? Don’t rush. It’s like picking a partner. Needs to last. Step one: Measure up. Feet change with age. Stand on paper. Trace. Add thumb width for toes. Try on late-day. Swelling peaks then.

Wear socks you’ll use. Thin for dress. Thick for work. Walk the store. Feel the flex. Heel slip? A finger’s width is okay. It settles.
Budget wise? $200-400 gets quality. Skip cheap imports. They pinch fast. Look for Goodyear welts. Easy resoles. Lasts years.
Pinto Ranch’s guide nails this. “Try lots of brands,” they say. Sizing varies. I learned the hard way. Bought online once. Too narrow. Exchanged. Lesson: Read returns policy.

In-store? Bend the boot. Soft vamp? Good. Stiff? Pass. Check seams. Smooth inside. No rubs.

Gap filler: Consider purpose. Ranch? Rugged soles. City? Sleek leather. I mix both. Versatility rules.

Who Makes Comfortable Cowboy Boots? Top Makers

Who makes comfortable cowboy boots? A few pros lead the pack. They blend old craft with new smarts.

Tecovas tops my list. Direct-to-you model cuts fluff. Handmade in Mexico. Full-grain leather. Cork filler molds perfect. Affordable luxury.

Rios of Mercedes? Masterpieces. Goatskin that’s glove-soft. I own a pair. Wore them breaking horses. Feet forgot they were there. These echo Esquire’s picks. They flag Tecovas for no-break-in ease.

Chisos gets nods too. But I favor Rios for that heirloom feel. Don’t chase hype. Test fit. One man’s cloud is another’s rock. From my boot drawer tales, comfort’s personal. Find yours.

  • Exotic Cowboy Boots

    Exotic Cowboy Boots

When I hear someone mention cowboy boots, 2 images usually come to mind. The first is a pair of those swinging saloon doors opening with a dusty cowboy walking in with a dull brown faded pair of dusty boots he was wearing out on the trail. You know the ones. Garden variety cowhide boots that don’t really get a second look. The other image is a shiny pair of exotic cowboy boots worn by some slick due walking up to a black jack table in Vegas throwing around money like its cool. Lol, that’s big difference I know, but that’s what comes to mind. I may need a psychologist, I don’t know.

Video of Different Exotic Skin Cowboy Boots

Today I am going to talk about the latter. There are many types of exotic cowboy boots and I’m gonna list some here along with some links so you can see a bunch of them. I wanted to go through about 6 or 7 different exotic leathers that can be turned into cowboy boots and some key features on what makes them unique and prized by many cowboy boot connoisseurs.

Due to many peoples demand for a more decorative and higher end cowboy boot, this led manufacturers to use a wide range of exotic skins along with the traditional cow leather in their boot lines. These high-end boots still retain the classic look but with a refined touch. Many different exotic skins such as ostrich, alligator, hippo, lizard, snake, buffalo, and kangaroo are combined with traditional leathers for a unique look that is sure to grab the attention of anyone in the room. Along with these exotic skins, expert craftsmanship, and the implementation of more ornate designs, these exotic skin cowboy boots has a look that’s a cut above the rest!

When I say similar looks, I am talking about the overall look at the animal, but there are some noticeable differences in the skin between the 3 as well. Hopefully here is some information that can help you decide on which one of these exotic dinosaur boots you would like to have.

All three being exotic skins, alligator is probably the most well-known out of the 3. A couple of the key features with alligator skin is that its very supple and it takes dye very well. That is why you see some great alligator skin boots that have amazing color to them. Alligators also can get very large which means the boot maker can make a tall boot from one skin and doesn’t have to stitch multiple skins together.

A pair of Lucchese Men’s Antique Italian Red Giant Alligator Cowboy Boots uses skin from giant gators that gives these boots an aggressive look with their large scale pattern. They are called “The muscle cars” of exotic skin cowboy boots! A beautiful red giant alligator vamp looks great complimented with a 12″ dark leather shaft and beautifully ornate “Red River” shaft cording. They also feature the Lucchese French toe which is exclusive to Lucchese classic handmade cowboy boots. Designed exclusively for Pinto Ranch, this is the only place you can get these beauties.

Do you know The Lucchese classics? What makes these boots stand apart from other cowboy boots. From other pairs of Lucchese boots for that matter? First, these boots are the exact design that Sam Lucchese used to create what we know as cowboy boots today. Back in the day, Sam Lucchese believed in well-made boots made from leather, without additives or substitutions. Pinto Ranch carries on that tradition today and has teamed up with legendary bootmakers such as Lucchese to have exclusive designs that are only available at Pinto Ranch. You really need to check them out because you won’t find a better pair of handmade alligator cowboy boots anywhere!

Caiman skins look a lot like alligator, but much smaller. Caiman is less supple than gator and does’t take dye as well so it may has an “uneven” look. Caiman has a small calcium rivet in the middle of each scale which accentuates the pattern. This can be a positive or negative thing, it just depends on your taste. Caiman leather also has small creases in it which gives it a kind of distressed look. A look that I kind of look in a lot of products. You’ll have to be the judge.

Click here for All exotic caiman skin cowboy boots

Crocodile skin and alligator, which is which? A pair of exotic cowboy boots made from either of these is hard to tell apart. Even experts has a tough time. Crocodile is just as soft and supple and take dye very well. One of the few ways to tell is to look for pores. Gator skin boots won’t have anywhere as all crocodiles have one sensitive hair in each scale which is removed during the tanning process and it leaves behind one barely visible pore. You may not even be able to see it.

Softness, pattern, and price are the three primary considerations when purchasing exotic skin boots. Both alligators and crocodiles have larger rounded square scales on their bellies. The skin of the belly is the softest skin of them all. Sometimes you will find boots made from the tail. Now that you know what to look for – enjoy the hunt!

It has a unique and distinctive look and you just won’t find it in any other exotic cowboy boot. This leather is taken from the main part of the bird where the feathers are of course.

Smooth skin ostrich boots are obviously what they say, smooth. They don’t have the quill bumps because they either come from the next or the legs. They also have their own distinctive pattern and can be mistaken for reptilian skin.

People have come to love ostrich leather because of its durability not to mention ostrich leather is very soft. Another key feature is its breathability and it contains natural oils that help it resists drying out and cracking.

You’ll Never Forget Your First Pair Of Exotic Elephant Boots

Definitely a very controversial topic is the use of elephant skin in exotic cowboy boots or any type of product for that matter. The elephant skin boots listed here are all from Rios Of Mercedes and are not Asian elephants. That’s a big deal because Asian elephants are endangered. The elephants for these boots are taken legally, but they do has a lot of critics not liking any elephant taken.

Proponents claim the animals are taken legally and in many instances are helping the overall population because there are such things as “troubled elephants” that go on rampages and cause serious injury to other elephants, humans, and property. A lot of times these are the elephants that are taken and they aren’t being wasted such as elephants that used to be taken just for their ivory. Either way, this is a decision you must take for yourself, just note that Rios Of Mercedes is a quality boot and does everything on the up and up.

Click here for All exotic elephant skin cowboy boots

Elephant skin is great for a cowboy boot because it is very tough. Elephant skin is also tanned in pieces, so each piece has its own distinct grain to it. It’s a very popular leather and is fairly available due to the regulations put forth by the African government not wasting the meat or hides of those animals taken to help in the population control. Another great characteristic is the skin is scuff resistant which makes a great pair of exotic cowboy boots. You will want to regularly clean and condition this leather since it is rather dry.

There are a lot of exotic skins that I didn’t mention above, but if you are looking for something else, here is a link that will take you to other exotics such as hippo, kangaroo, snake, elk, and carpincho boots by Rios of Mercedes. Of course, there are your traditional boots at Pinto also comprised of Buffalo, calf, cowhide, goat and lamb. Practically a Noah’s Ark of cowboy boots to choose from.

Hippos are known as the world’s deadliest large land mammal. Hippos are not endangered, but vulnerable to extinction due to poaching and habitat loss. But thanks to stricter law enforcement, the population has since plateaued in most cases hippos are taken in the same way elephants are. So this is another instance where you have to use your own judgment if you want a pair of exotic hippo boots.

Hippo leather is absolutely beautiful in appearance. It has a suede like finish and a striated appearance. hippopotamus leather is also very soft and velvety to the touch. Flexible, durable and very comfortable are characteristics that makes hippopotamus leather very sought after. Each pair of exotic cowboy boots made from hippo holds a story because of the many scars’ hippo skin holds from battles throughout its life.

*Side Note, these are exotic skins that occur naturally. They are not handmade so each and every skin will has a personal and unique look. When you see a picture of a pair of these boots it will pretty much be identical, but the pattern may slightly vary (in a good way). I mean uniqueness usually demands a higher price. We look for this quality in products every day.

If you don’t get some looks and someone starting up a conversation about them, you must be in a room full of blind people. Trust me, they will definitely get you noticed. If you like snakes or not, you should be able to appreciate the beauty of these python boots by Rios Of Mercedes.

Today I’m gonna talk about 2 different pairs of python boots from Rios Of Mercedes. Basically 2 of the same styles, but one is a deep chocolate with a brown vamp and the other is a combination of a dark navy and black. You really have to give it a good look to notice the difference between the color in the vamp and the shaft. No need to worry though, these boots don’t bite!

Rios of Mercedes Chocolate Python Boots

BROWN PYTHON COWBOY BOOTS WITH WESTERN STITCHING HANDMADE IN SOUTH TEXAS.

Okay, the first thing I’m gonna talk about is the snip toe or the Rios “KS” Toe. This is my favorite look in a cowboy boot. I’ve included a picture from the top of the boot so you know exactly what I’m talking about. Both boots are handmade of course by Rios Of Mercedes and the vamp is a beautiful 100% brown python leather with a modern snip toe as I mentioned. The shaft is 12 inches in height and features a gold and brown stitching made famous by Rios Of Mercedes with python overlays on the pull straps. These boots would be a perfect match with a pair of blue jeans, no question about that.

Why You Should Love Rios Of Mercedes Cowboy Boots

I have talked about Rios boots many times and I may be parroting the same thing over and over, but that’s only because it’s true. Rios Of Mercedes has been around since 1853 and they are of course made right here in the good ole USA. Rios has a great reputation that you can argue is second to none. I really don’t think I’ve ever heard a complaint against any of their cowboy boots. The only problems I have ever heard maybe the fit because a person really wasn’t sure of their size, but luckily you can buy these boots at Pinto Ranch and if fit is a problem, they have you covered.

These boots are made exclusively for Pinto Ranch and we can’t say enough about the product lines they offer and their customer service. It’s literally 5 stars all the way around. What you should do is just browse the Pinto Ranch site and just go to different products throughout the site and read the reviews. They have a great return policy that won’t cost you a single penny and shipping on all their boots is completely FREE!

I love the toes! There, I said it. Yes, this boot is identical to the chocolate brown boot above except the color. The reason for this is that it’s “perfect” in my mind. The only thing to do is make it a different color to give you choices. Rios Of Mercedes has basically made this “A dark spin on a Rios classic”. This is probably a color combination you won’t see very often on other boots. Sporting a deep navy vamp in exotic python skin with a complimentary shaft made of calf skin in jet black. Absolutely awesome if you ask me!

  • Pirarucu Boots Sale – An Amazing Fish Made Into A Beautiful Cowboy Boot

Pirarucu Boots Sale – An Amazing Fish Made Into A Beautiful Cowboy Boot

Okay everyone, hope you are having a great day, but enough with the pleasantries and let’s talk about a boot or boots that I’m really excited to talk about. Today I’m gonna talk about and show you some fabulous Pirarucu boots. I have three pairs to show you and they are all by Black Jack boots. If you don’t know about Black Jack boots, you really need to check them out. This is one heck of a Pirarucu boots sale and I guarantee you will absolutely fall in love with these boots.

You might be saying “What in the heck is a Pirarucu?”. About 2 years ago, I would have said the same thing. Luckily I saw a fishing show on the Discovery channel and I knew right what it was when I saw these boots. It’s a massive fish. Prehistoric looking to be quite truthful. So basically it’s fish skin boots.

Pirarucu Boots – Known as “Big Bass” cowboy boots

For some reason that sounds a little weird at first, but if you think about it, why not fish? I mean boots are made from alligator, crocodile, lizard, ostrich, all sort of different types of skin, so why not a fish! If you’re a fisherman, you might be thinking “wow, fish skin is pretty delicate and I don’t know if that would make a great boot or not!”.

Well, let me put your mind at ease. As I said, the Pirarucu is practically prehistoric looking and the reason for this is that of it’s skin. This fish practically looks like it’s wearing some kind of chain-mail armor. I’m guessing this fish can take almost any type of insult thrown at it. I think the term “thick-skinned” might have derived from it.

Now, let’s take a look at these awesome boots!

Pull straps show off more of these boots’ beautiful Pirarucu skin with overlays, complimenting the deep, dark color of the goat skin.

What’s not to love about this pair of beautiful ginger Pirarucu boots! The color is amazing and it has the same diamond pattern as the black Pirarucu boots. All three have this pattern and why not. As my grandpa used to say, “Don’t fix it if it’s not broken.”. This is the pattern of this particular type of fish’s scales, so not much you could do anyway.

I love the color of the fish skin in the vamp with the dark highlights in between the scales. They really make the diamond pattern pop! It once again has the darkened goat leather for the upper with the same great western stitching and the fish skin overlays on the pull straps are the same beautiful ginger color as the scales on the vamp.

    SPECIFICATIONS

    Handmade: Yes
    Material:Pirarucu, Goat

Seriously, if you don’t love these boots, something is wrong with your eyesight! I’m not sure which one is my favorite so far the black Pirarucu cowboy boots we mentioned first or these beautiful ginger boots. No matter which is yours, we still have one left and in my opinion they are just as good at the first 2. You just won’t find a Pirarucu boots sale as good as this one!

BLACK JACK PIRARUCU FISH COWBOY BOOTS IN CHOCOLATE

I know what you are thinking, “You had me at chocolate fish” right? Lol, yeah, that is a disgusting image, but the look of these boots will definitely have you thinking otherwise!

They have the same pattern as the 2 prior boots with that awesome diamond pattern. I do believe the Pirarucu is the only fish or animal or whatever with that pattern that you will find in a pair of handmade cowboy boots. You definitely won’t find it that large or pronounced in another animal leather.

    SPECIFICATIONS

    Handmade: Yes
Material: Farm Raised Fish and Calf
    Color: Chocolate
Details: Marfa Cord and Stitch Pattern, Pull Straps with Fish Overlay
Toe type: 6 – Black Jack Round ‘6’ Toe
Heel type: Walking Heel – Black Jack ‘3’ Heel
    Outsole: Leather
    Insole: Leather
    Heel Height: 1 3/8″
    Shaft Height: 12″
    Manufactured: El Paso, Texas

I really like these because the chocolate color stands out, just not as much and the ginger. That’s a little more to my liking, but for a lot of people, the ginger is exactly what they are looking for and will definitely catch your eye a little quicker. It’s really hard for me to make a pronounced argument for any particular one of these boots because I also love the straight black ones. They definitely have that straight “Johnny Cash” look to them that only a straight black boot can pull off.

You’re Not Gonna Catch Another Pirarucu Boots Sale Like This One

Pirarucu Boots Sale - Pirarucu Cowboy Boots With JeansWell, you learn something every day don’t you! There was a good chance before seeing this article, you’ve never heard of fish skin cowboy boots or of a fish called a Pirarucu that lived in the mighty Amazon for that matter.

  • Alligator Cowboy Boots Sale – Who Says Alligator Isn’t Beautiful?

I’m thinking if there were a bunch of people walking around all wearing cowboy boots, i.e.  different colors, different styles, and made out of different leathers, you think it would be pretty easy to identify the ones made out of alligator. Well, for the novice, maybe not. What some people don’t realize is that there are also a number of manufacturers that use Caiman and Nile Crocodile. Today I’m gonna show you just the boots made from American Alligator and why these boots became an instant classic to cowboy boot connoisseurs all over the world. Not only that, I’m gonna show you an Alligator cowboy boots sale that will go easy on your alligator skin wallet or whatever type of wallet you carry.

At the time of this article, Pinto Ranch has 9 different alligator boots for sale on their site and 6 of them are on sale. Things are always changing on this site, but they always have some great sales and I can guarantee you that there will always be some great alligator skin boots on here for a great price. I’m only gonna talk about 2 of the pairs that are currently on sale right now, but as I said, there are many to choose from and there are hundreds more made from other leathers like Buffalo, Elk, Fish, Goat, Calf, Carpincho, practically a Noah’s Ark of handmade cowboy boots of the highest quality

    Let’s get started……..

A Tan American Alligator Boot That Stand Out In The Crowd

The BLACK JACK EXCLUSIVE PULL UP TAN AMERICAN ALLIGATOR BOOTS uses skin from alligator belly that is considered to be one of the most interesting of the exotic hides used in boots today. The look of these boots are absolutely amazing! The tiles of the alligator skin is completely unpredictable running across the vamp of the boot. When looking down at the pattern, it makes me think of an old cobblestone road where all the stones are of different shapes and sizes, but somehow still form an amazing pattern that is hard to take your eyes off of. You can also find some alligator decorating the pull straps and the shaft is beautifully designed with ‘jay’ cording and some accent stitching that doesn’t take away from the large scales of the alligator vamp.

There are a couple characteristics that make alligator skin better than its cousins the caiman and crocodile. It’s softer and more pliable which makes it easier to work with. Something else that needs to be noted about alligator skin is that they get a much smoother and “even” dye compared to caiman because of the lack of bone in the skin. If you aren’t aware of Black Jack boots, you should be! They are a premium handmade boot made in El Paso, Texas and are made exclusively for Pinto Ranch.

I’m also a big fan of the shaft of this boot that is made from goat leather and it has a great distressed look to it that I’m pretty much a fan of any type of boots.

    * Here’s a cleaning tip for your alligator skin cowboy boots. It’s pretty simple. All you need to do is brush the dirt off with a damp cloth and every once in a while (month or two), apply leather conditioner to your boot and it will look like new!

A Short Alligator Skin Boot With A Big Attitude

This boot is definitely a head turner. The STALLION MEN’S ZORRO BLACK GATOR ANKLE BOOTS are not your traditional cowboy boot by no means. With that being said, there are 3 things that make this boot a little different from the traditional alligator skin cowboy boot or other leather type boot you might be wearing.

Alligator Cowboy Boots Sale - STALLION MEN'S ZORRO BLACK GATOR ANKLE BOOTSClick Image To View These Alligator Cowboy Boots & Get More Info

This is not a “whole” alligator boot in the traditional sense. When I mean “whole”, I mean the alligator part of this boot are some accents. Not the whole vamp like the last boot I talked about. The accents are only at the heel and toe of this boot, but they do look very very good! That’s the first unusual part of this boot.

The second is that its zippered. Yeah, I said it, it has a zipper. That’s typically not uncommon for an ankle boot though, and Stallion are the experts to making a boot like this. I do love these boots though. It has that cowboy boot look and you can wear it seamlessly underneath pretty much any type of jeans, slacks, pants, etc… I really don’t know what else is left that you would want to wear boots with, but with these ankle boots, you can wear them.

Check out all the different styles and types of exotic cowboy boots here

The third and final unusual thing about these boots are its use of horsehide. Yeah, that’s right. Believe it or not, horsehide are a by-product of the food processing industry. Just like cowhide, it has a use and it can be super expensive! Horsehide has a very limited supply, and as you guessed it, that drives up the price.

Alligator Has Been Around A Lot Longer Than I Thought

Yes, I know they are basically prehistoric and basically modern day dinosaurs, but that’s not what I’m talking about. I’ve watched my fair share of westerns and I don’t think I’ve every seen a pair of alligator anything in those shows or movies. For good reason though, most of those movies take place out west i.e. Texas, Oklahoma, California, etc… I’m pretty sure cows are the kind of materials out there followed by either goats, sheep, buffalo, etc… You just don’t see any western type movies taking place in Florida or Louisiana lol.

But if you do a little research, the use of alligator skin started in 1800 in North America. Boots, shoes, saddles, and other products were used for confederate troops in the civil war in 1855. Its commercial beginnings started in the 1900s with Louisiana being the biggest harvester of this magnificent leather.

Alligators went through a rough time in the early 1900s all the way into the 60s and was eventually banned statewide in Louisiana. Luckily by the year 1987, were taken off the endangered species list because of conservation efforts and their population is as strong as ever.

There’s A Reason Alligator Skin Boots Are So Popular

As I stated earlier, alligator has that unique look that everyone knows right when you see it. It usually has larger scales on it than say a caiman. It’s highly prized because alligator is so easy to work with compared to other lizards and has a super durable skin. Another great quality about alligator skin is its natural enamel sheen. The automatically makes it pleasing to the eye and why you see so many other products beside cowboy boots or any other kind of boot for that matter made from gator.

Unlike other types of cowboy boots made from cowhide (which I love by the way) or other more abundant leathers, you aren’t gonna find to many alligator skin boots at Target or Walmart. If you do, run away, run as fast as you can.

You will mainly find them in high end retail stores, or as I pointed out, at Pinto Ranch (which hosts the largest selection of cowboy boots online by the way).

I hope you like the 2 boots mentioned here today. Make sure you go check out the other alligator skin boots at Pinto and remember, they have a great alligator cowboy boots sale along with many other types and exotic leather boots on sale 365 days a year. Nothing but the finest quality and the best customer service out there. I’m not joking, poke around the website and read the reviews. Half the reviews usually mention their unbelievable customer service.

If you have any question, comments, whatever, give us a shout out below either way. We will try to get back to you promptly. Good luck in your boot hunt!

  • Real Elephant Skin Boots – Rare, Beautiful And Ethically Made

Real Elephant Skin Boots – Rare, Beautiful And Ethically Made

As you probably already know, cowboy boots come in many different styles, colors, toe types, heel type, etc… But one of the most talked about difference between boots is the leather they are made from. Alligator, buffalo, caiman, snake, the list goes on and on. You can categorize all of those boot materials as either exotic leathers or other leathers. The other leathers are usually calf, cowhide, goat, etc… I normally like to say that if it lives here in North America, it’s probably in the “other leather” category and if it’s overseas, it falls into the “exotic leather” category. There are some exceptions to this rule, but I think you get my point. Today I wanted to talk about one of the unique types of boots that falls in to the exotic category and that are some magnificent pairs of real elephant skin boots.

If you would like to learn more about the plight of elephants and more information of the taking of elephant skin here is a link to One Green Planet with some more info.

My two favorite styles of boots are ropers and square toe. That’s why I’m listing those two here and if you want to see the other two, you can head over to Pinto and check them out.

    Insole: Leather
    Heel Height: 1 3/8″
    Shaft Height: 13″
    Manufactured: Mercedes, Texas

I absolutely love these boots because because of the square cutter toe. These are a beautiful pair of boots made from some very tough and durable elephant skin that is ethically harvested.  That is very important to me and I don’t want something that was obtained by poachers or something. These boots are amazing with a great story behind them.

These boots are also a combination of beautiful elephant skin and calfskin. The skin is a beautiful rich chocolate color and goes beautifully with the chocolate quarters of the calfskin shafts. Once again this is another pair of the highest quality western boots from Rios of Mercedes. You definitely won’t be disappointed.

    The Argument For Or Against

If you are like me, one of the first things you might be thinking of when you hear the words “elephant skin” in conjunction with a pair of boots or any other products is “How is that possible?”. Unlike ivory, elephant skin doesn’t have much regulation on it. Just about anyone can buy and sell elephant leather as long as they adhere to the very lax regulations of the Convention of International Treaty of Endangered Species. It’s seriously a major loophole that people can easily get away with considering it allows you to buy or sell one part of an animal, but not another.

There are two sides to this story though. Ivory is downright illegal no matter what. There is no legal way to harvest it. Ivory is only obtained by poachers and buying or selling of ivory is illegal. Elephant leather on the other hand must be purchased only from sellers coming from legally culled (selectively slaughtered) elephants. I hated to use the word “slaughtered”, but I wanted to use the correct definition of the word.

Animals being “culled” isn’t something new. It happens all over the world and is even a common practice in the United States. A very common example of that is the deer population. A lot of times special seasons are created if the population becomes too dense and limits are adjusted for the same reason. I know of a similar instance for black bears down where I live in Florida. It’s basically a way of population control. This same practice goes for elephants also when the population becomes too large for a particular area and poses a threat to other wildlife or humans.

You will hear arguments either way for elephant skin products, so therefore I ask you to maybe do a little research and make an informed decision. You as a buyer may not know if the product you are purchasing is coming from a legitimately taken animal and this can cause some concern. Luckily I’m listing some great boots by Rios of Mercedes boot company that are sold by Pinto Ranch and all boots made from these majestic animals are legally and ethically obtained to the best of my knowledge.

Elephant, Not Many To Choose From

There aren’t that many pairs or styles of elephant skin boots to choose from. I would say that is definitely a sign that you know it’s exotic, but it’s the truth. From Pinto Ranch, you only have four pairs for men’s cowboy boots and I’m sorry to say, zero for ladies cowgirl boots.

On one train of thought I would say maybe this is a good thing because of the plight of elephants throughout the world. On another hand I would say too bad since these are some beautiful boots! Once again I cannot stress enough that the boots we are talking about here are from the legendary boot makers of Rios of Mercedes sold at Pinto Ranch. I cannot in good faith talk about other brands because I do not know how their elephant skin is obtained.

There might only be four men’s boots offered here, but they all have reviews and they are all 5 stars. These are some great boots that have the Rios of Mercedes name standing behind them. That means they are superbly made by the finest materials from the top of the shaft to the tip of the toe. The also are super comfortable and as every pair of boots designed by Rios, they look fabulous!

An Exotic Skin Boot That May Not Be Around Forever

I didn’t want to sound all doom and gloom here, but this may be the case for real elephant skin boots. The reason that this may true may be a good thing. Maybe there will be some tougher regulations out there to help protect these magnificent animals. I do get the whole idea about some elephants being legally culled, that is why I’m not totally against this leather being used. I definitely would like to see authorities cracking down on people illegally taking these animals and would also love to see more land being protected so elephants can increase in numbers naturally.

As I stated, do a little research if you are uncomfortable in a certain product. That stand for any kind of product be it cowboy boots or a leather jacket. A informed consumer is the best consumer in my opinion and I hope you feel the same.

Once again all of these boots mentioned here are made by Rios of Mercedes and they have more than 160 years of boot making experience. They only use the finest of materials that are legally obtained to create some most beautiful handmade boots in the industry.

  • Cowboy Boots On Amazon – Great Deals On The Mega Retailer

Cowboy Boots On Amazon – Great Deals On The Mega Retailer

Time to do things just a little differently. If you’ve read our other posts here at We Heart, you know that we usually write posts about a lot of high end boots made by boot companies like Lucchese boots, Rios of Mercedes cowboy boots, Black jack boots or Stallion. These boots are usually over five hundred dollars a pair even reaching up to a couple thousand dollars. We rarely talk about cheap cowboy boots.

To me, that’s not a typical boot for the average person. I mean I usually cringe when I but an article of clothing over fifty bucks. So as I was sitting around the house looking at all of my boots, I did notice a couple pair that I’ve had for quite sometime that I’m still really fond of. When I bought them, they were only around a hundred dollars give or take a few bucks. So I thought where could people get boots like this today. Maybe it’s a pair that’s not too expensive and readily available. Well, just as I was thinking that I saw a Amazon van drive by the house. Click, a light bulb went off in my head. I thought, it’s time to check out some cowboy boots on Amazon.

Don’t Judge A Boot Too Quickly

Okay, I know some of you cowboy boot aficionados might go a little crazy thinking about this. The first thing that comes to mind is that Pace Picante Sauce commercial where they run out of Pace and the guy gets a generic bottle of sauce and all freak out because it’s made in New York City.

I guess if you are buying a pair of cowboy boots, the first thing that probably comes to mind is Texas or somewhere out west. I mean I think most of the big name boots originate in El Paso or some other Texas city. But the thing is, Amazon isn’t a city. It’s more like a group of people or companies that showcase their products in one place, so you really don’t know where your item is coming from until you find it on their website and read a little about it. So we’ve decided to find the best pairs of cowboy boots on Amazon and help you sort through all of them to find the best.

Even On Amazon, You Can Find Great Names

After doing some research, I found a seller by the name of NRSWorld and they have plenty of Tony Lama boots with some great prices. One awesome advantage about shopping on Amazon is you can get a lot of info that you wouldn’t be able to get from other sites or in boot stores.

I love the customer ratings on Amazon and the ability for a buyer to ask questions about that particular product. That’s just something you can’t really find anywhere else. You also know exactly when it’s shipping and when you’re gonna get it. You know if you get free returns, you know if it’s in stock, and you know your sellers rating.

After looking at the boots listed by NRSWorld, I know I can get a quality boot from them at a great price. I’m also aware of the quality Tony Lama puts out, so I’m very comfortable purchasing from them. I’ll take a quality boot at a cheap price any day of the week!

Find some great discount boots at this Rios Mercedes Boots Sale page!

There are a couple pros and cons here. First, they have great reviews. That should put your mind to ease. They also have men’s and women’s boots and some other western wear items. The only big “con” that I could find really doesn’t apply to U.S. customers. For everyone that lives outside the U.S., sorry, they don’t deliver overseas. Says it can only be shipped in the U.S. If you are looking for Tony Lama boots from somewhere else that can be delivered overseas, check out our Tony Lama Boot page that will deliver anywhere.

Another Great Boot With A Great Name

After looking around I found another great cowboy boot on Amazon and it’s a name that we really haven’t talked about before. The boot is made by Ariat and it’s a great boot that you really can get at a reasonable price.

Cowboy Boots On Amazon - A Great Selection Of Ariat Boots

Click BOOTS for more info and to purchase on Amazon!

After checking them out, I found that the boot company was named by the founder of the company after the race horse Secretariat that won the Triple Crown in 1973. The founder grew up on a horse farm in Pennsylvania and is obviously a huge horse race fan if not just a HUGE horse lover.

The one thing that caught my eye about Ariat is that they were the first ones to implement athletic footwear technology into their boots. I know most of you haven’t worn a pair of boots from an era before modern day cowboy boots did this, but they were very uncomfortable. You and your feet can thank Ariat for this. Aria leads the way by partnering with bio-mechanical research experts to help improve a boots performance, comfort and durability without sacrificing a great look that you will absolutely love! They truly have produced a boot that has the best of both worlds. Functionality and style all wrapped up in one boot!

Amazon Is Definitely Full Of Surprises

I truly was amazed what I found there. I wasn’t expecting to find some great names offered through Amazon. In one hand yo could say that you aren’t getting that personal touch that you would get from someone like say Pinto Ranch, but on the other hand you kind of are when you start dealing with the seller as an individual person or company. You can also find some quality boots at a very cheap price. If you are looking for some other lower priced boots, check out these discount cowboy boots for men or the ladies can head on over to these discount cowboy boots for women or ladies cowgirl boots sale.

Don’t get caught up in the name and how enormous they are as a company. Remember, you are dealing with an individual seller and Amazon is just the person or company that has introduced you to them. I do recommend you browse around there for yourself and see what you can find. I think you will be surprised. I really didn’t go in depth about any one particular boot because there were really too many to talk about. Just head on over there and find a boot you like and you can find a ton of information on it.

If you have any questions about any boots you find on there, please let us know or just ask a question directly to the seller. In my experience I have had great luck getting a timely reply. Happy boot hunting!

  • Men’s Exotic Cowboy Boots

What do you think of when you think of cowboy boots? Do you think of the cowboy somewhere on the western range, sitting high up on his horse, wearing a dusty pair of brown leather boots made from the cattle that he’s driving across the plains? Or do you think of maybe a movie scene where someone comes walking through the door and the first thing the camera goes to is the slick pair of exotic cowboy boots that he’s wearing? You know the ones. They are shiny snakeskin boots from a rattlesnake or python. They might even look like the skin from an alligator or lizard. There are a bunch of things men’s exotic cowboy boots can be constructed from.

Men's Exotic Cowboy Boots - John Travolta

Either way, I bet those exotic boots come to mind once in a while when you think of cowboy boots. It’s hard not to. From the sound of them walking across a tile or wood floor to the unmistakable pattern of scales or skin, exotic cowboy boots always stand out in a crowd. Below I have put together a collection of 5 of some of my favorite exotic skin boots. One of them you might not think as being that exotic, but in the world of cowboy boots, cow leather is usually king. As always, let us know in the comments below if you have a favorite boot or exotic boot that I didn’t mention here.

These Men’s Rios Of Mercedes Cowboy Boots made of top quality goat leather Look Awesome in Jeans!

    Cooler Boots Equal Higher Demand

Due to many peoples / cowboys demand for a more decorative look and a higher end cowboy boot, this lead manufacturers to use a wide range of exotic skins along with the traditional cow leather in their boot lines. These high-end boots still retain the classic look but with a refined touch. Many different skins such as genuine ostrich, alligator, goat, lizard, snake, buffalo, and kangaroo are combined with traditional leather for a unique look that is sure to grab the attention of anyone in the room. Along with these superior skins, expert craftsmanship, and the implementation of more ornate designs these exotic skin cowboy boots have a look that’s a cut above the rest!

    The Sidewinder Boot

The Sidewinder is the boot I mentioned above when I said that you might not think it’s exotic, but goat skin cowboy boots definitely fit the category of exotic skin cowboy boots. The Sidewinder also doesn’t play 2nd fiddle to other exotic skin cowboy boots in my opinion. Getting away from the traditional cow leather, goat skin cowboy boots are stunning! This boot boasts a 13″ shaft, cowboy heel, and a snip toe which I absolutely love! They also come fully leather lined with a leather out sole. They definitely hand comfort in mind including The Dan Post signature Ultimate Flex Insole in this beautiful boot.

The Raleigh Men’s Lizard Skin Cowboy Boots For Men

Dan Post Raleigh Lizard Skin Exotic Skin Cowboy Boots

    The Raleigh Handmade Boot

Lizard skin is a great material to use for your exotic skin cowboy boot. Why is this you ask? Well besides the durability, they also come in a bunches of different colors and their patterns are also very distinctive. Another great reason is that lizard skin boots can be allot cheaper than say alligator or snake skin boots.

The Dan Post boot pictured here is a beautiful black cherry lizard skin cowboy boot with a round toe and a cowboy heel. They are absolutely magnificent! These boots are made from the Teju lizard which comes from the southern portions of South Africa. The Teju has small squares that are almost square shaped with larger scales on their belly. Like a python, the Teju’s skin can have irregular and magnificent color patterns depending on their sub-species! Because of this, lizard skin can be some of the most exotic skin cowboy boots on the market!

The Raleigh features a 13-inch leather shafts and is fully leather lined and an “Ultimate Flex” insole. Dan Post’s “Ultimate Flex” insole gives your feet comfort with every step.

One Of My Favorites – Birmingham Alligator Skin Men’s Cowboy Boots

Dan Post Birmingham Alligator Skin Handmade Cowboy Boots

    The Birmingham Handmade Cowboy Boot

The Birmingham’s from Dan Post are an exquisite men’s exotic skin boot that is definitely one of the most popular types of boot when it comes to exotic animal skin boots. Caimans are a very close relative to crocodiles and alligators found in Central and South America. The caiman is one of the boniness skin when compared to alligator and crocodile skin, so this gives it very deep and distinctive ridges. They definitely stand out when compared to other cowboy boots.

Also, caiman have very calcium rich deposits in their hide which give it a patterned effect that can last through the dyeing process. This can give Caiman hide boots a very distinctive look that you just can’t find in alligator or crocodile.

Another great benefit with Caiman is they are more prevalent than alligator or Nile crocodiles. This makes them generally less expensive. Hey, you can often get a more distinctive and detailed look with caiman at a cheaper price when it comes to exotic skin cowboy boots. Sign me up!

The Birmingham has an eye-catching 13-inch genuine leather shafts and is fully leather lined with a rounded cushion insole. They sport a rounded toe and a cowboy heel.

    • Genuine Flank Caiman
    • Black in color

Ostrich Skin Cowboy Boots – The Bellevue

Dan Post Bellevue Ostrich Skin Exotic Skin Cowboy Boots

    The Bellevue Boot

Ostrich skin cowboy boots, hmmm? I was a little confused at first. I actually thought they plucked an ostrich and then used their skin or something. Wrong answer! The Bellevue is made from authentic ostrich leg skins and is broken in from day one.

Ostrich skin is known for its unique texture. It’s very hard to mistaken for any other kind of boot. They have a brilliant glazed shine and there are a wide variety of colors to choose from. You won’t find quality ostrich boots everywhere, but Dan Post has definitely outdone there self with the Bellevue exotic skin ostrich boots.

These Black Cherry boots sport and round toe with a cowboy heel. They are leather lined and feature the “Ultimate Flex Insole” for a super comfortable pair of men’s ostrich skin cowboy boots.

    • Offered in Black Cherry or Antique Tan
    • Features a 13-inch medium dip genuine leather shafts and a full leather lining.

Unlike the other boots above, the Denver has a broad squared toe, a Cowboy Certified out sole, and a Stockman heel, which is a shorter and wider heel. As I stated above when talking about the Birmingham, caiman is a great skin to use in an exotic skin cowboy boot. It has very deep and distinctive ridges and can come in some beautiful colors and be very detailed due to their bony skin and detailed pattern effect.
