Hello and welcome to my write up of Lucchese cowboy boots! I wanted to spend a little time so you can get to know a little information about the company behind the boot so to speak. If you’ve been a cowboy boot fan your whole life or just kind of getting into boots, there’s a good chance that you have heard of Lucchese.
A long time ago, 1883 to be exact, an Italian immigrant from Sicily by the name of Sam Lucchese moved to San Antonio, Texas with his brothers and started a boot company by the name of Lucchese Bros. Believe it or not, their main customer at the time was the U.S. Army. Sam Lucchese lived by 3 rules when it came to boots and that was quantity, quality, and cost efficiency. He was all about new technology when it came to making boots and often invested in state-of-the-art tools and machines and new techniques in handmade boot making to accomplish his goal of increased production of a quality boot.
Who Wears These Boots
Well, that’s a good question, but also a pretty easy question to answer. Everyone, lol! No, seriously, you can find them everywhere worn by almost anyone. Past presidents, movie stars, politicians, etc… Some very well-known people that you may have heard of that wear or wore Lucchese boots would be president Lyndon B. Johnson, Bing Crosby, John Wayne, Arnold Schwarzenegger are just a few celebrities to wear cowboy boots.
I’ve been to a number of country bars or places where you can line dance and have seen guys and gals alike wearing Lucchese. It really doesn’t matter if you are famous or just working the ranch, you can literally find them all across America and have also gained popularity all around the world.

Why Would You Want To Wear Them
Well it’s been well over 100 years since the Lucchese brothers started their boot making down in Texas, but some things have never changed. Yes, the company has changed hands several times since then. They were bought by a parent company of Wrangler, and then were sold to a western clothing conglomerate, but they have kept the same commitment to quality that Sam envisioned over a century ago.
These boots will last you for years if not decades. Talk to someone who wears cowboy boots and you will find that they are extremely loyal to their boots. They treat their boots like a pet. They take care of them. There is a reason for this. No other footwear gets the same attention or consideration as a pair of cowboy boots do. Quality is what you come to expect when buying these boots and quality is what you get. A beautiful look with exceptional attention to detail when these boots are being made is what you get. I mean think about it, you don’t stay in business this long unless you are doing something right and they definitely know how to make a pair of boots.
How Much Do They Cost?
Oh yeah, they can get really pricey! These definitely aren’t the Walmart of cowboy boots. One of the best places I know of to buy boots in Pinto Ranch and the lowest priced pair of Lucchese boots they have there is right around $450 bucks and those boots are on sale. The highest priced pair on that site is almost $1,700. That is out of 33 different styles of Lucchese that they offer. Lucchese is right up there with other great names such as Stallion boots, Tony Lama, Rios Mercedes cowboy boots and Black Jack boots. If you want something a little cheaper, but still a very good pair of boots, check out our article here on Dan Post men’s or women’s boots.
Why so much you ask? Well you are getting handmade western boots with the highest quality that you can find anywhere. You buy a pair of these boots and like I said before, they last for decades. I get a pair of Nike’s and they are lucky to last a year. Another reason is these things are practically a work of art. You can stare at a pair of these boots for an hour and still not see all the detail that was put into a pair of these boots. It’s absolutely amazing when you think about it.
Where Can You Get A Pair
Could you imagine trying to buy a pair of these boots say 40 years ago? You would have had to drive to El Paso or something. (I stated earlier that Lucchese set up shop in San Antonio over a hundred years ago, but they have since moved to El Paso. In today s world with the internet being what it is, there are plenty of place you can get a pair. My favorite online shop to buy boots or any western clothing from cool cowboy hats, belts, women’s western wear, etc… Is definitely Pinto Ranch.
Why there you ask? Well, one thing and this is by far the most important thing is that buying footwear online can be tricky. You want to try them on and all that. Now I know for that I wear a 12 1/2. When I try on a pair of shoes or boots, that is the first number I go for and 95% of the time it’s a perfect fit. With that being said, for some reason shoes and boots can make some people kind of freak out when buying online.
Well, they have come up with a solution if you’re a little freaked about purchasing your boots online. Free returns or exchanges. They will even pay the shipping back to them so you can get the correct fit. The original shipping is also free, so there’s that as well.
The More You Know, The Better Pair Of Boots Is What You Get
If you see someone wearing a pair of Lucchese, go ahead and ask them about them. I guarantee they will get a look on their face that you’ve probably seen before when asking a person about their pet German Shepard or their Corvette. That look is pride, loyalty, and just an overall love for the above mentioned item or pet. Just saying that the first thing that comes to mind in when you are talking to a Ford or Chevy owner. They are superbly loyal to their brand and that’s how cowboy boot wearers are. If you wear them already, you know what I’m talking about!
If you don’t know what I’m talking about, get yourself a pair and see for yourself. What’s it gonna hurt? Get yourself a great pair of these boots and see what all the fuss is about. When you try on a pair, you will know why they have been in the boot business for well over a hundred years. Cowboy boots are attention getters. People will know and will probably ask you about them. When they do, you will get that same smirk on your face and the Chevy and Ford guys. Try not to let it go to your head!
