The “little black hat” of the Jason Aldean cool cowboy hat collection because some times, heck, most of the times a dark cowboy hat goes great with jeans, shorts, dress pants, hell, just about anything! We don’t know if this cowboy hat was inspired by his work on Night Train, but it’s a logical theory. The hat is made from 6X palm dark straw that is jet black. We are talking about deep out in the woods on a heavily overcast night with no moon or stars in sight type of dark. The venting eyelets are black and of course the hat band features the iconic Xs is a light color that are heavily contrasted against the black straw hat.

Just a little information about Resistol hats. They were of course founded in Dallas, Texas in 1927. They first started producing felt cowboy hats under the name “Resistol Hats” which means resist all weather. Today all Resistol hats either made from felt or straw are all made in Garland, Texas and some in Mexico with the same quality as the first hat created almost 100 years ago.

Knowing a good thing, Resistol has yet a second Jason Aldean cowboy hat that is Verde Bound in color. That is a pretty fancy name for a color so how about I call it tan with some dark highlights. I really love dark highlights in boots and straw cowboy hats. A pair of distressed cowboy boots with this same look is one of my favorite looks.
This straw cowboy hat has a classic look with some contemporary styling and I’m not sure if Jason chose the hat for that or if the hat chose Jason Aldean! With the modern look of this hat, it sports the distressed look which I mentioned earlier and has a laced leather hat band in chocolate, black, and ivory. The crown is “cattleman” style with vented eyelets to keep Jason cool on stage or you anywhere else.
